Craig Stewart, 70, of Wood-Ridge, NJ passed away on October 5, 2022. Professional Car Society members Craig and Roseanne Stewart began exploring the feasibility of organizing a regional chapter of the PCS in February 1986. The Northeast Chapter petitioned for its charter on May 12, 1986 and lists its Charter Members as Craig and Roseanne Stewart, Phil Jast, Mahlon Thompson and Paul Vickery.
Michael A. Barruzza, 72, of Bensalem, PA passed away on April 12, 2021. Mike was the past President of the PCS (1995-1997) and a longtime and loyally active PCS Northeast Chapter member. Mike was also a peerlessly visionary liaison between the PCS and CLC who was instrumental in the 1999 creation of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Award we still present annually to the highest scoring Cadillac or LaSalle-based pro-car at the PCS International Meets.
In May of 1986, a small group of PCS members decided to petition for a Charter from the PCS to start a new Chapter. This new Chapter would serve PCS members in the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania area. The charter was granted by the board of The Professional Car Society on August 19, 1986. We hosted the 1987, 2008, and 2016 PCS International Meets. The chapter has 20 members. $15 annual dues include a subscription to the award-winning chapter publication, The Criterion.
